Mike Campbell is the Director of Environmental Analysis at MIG, Inc. in San Jose. His career includes over 35 years in public and private sector planning, environmental consulting, project management, entitlement processing and environmental document preparation. He has expertise in stormwater management, holding a CPSWQ certification (Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality), and has served as a technical advisor on various local and regional Bay Area stormwater agencies and committees, including Bay Area Stormwater Management Agency Association, California Stormwater Quality Association, and Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program. He also served as the City of San Jose’s Urban Runoff Coordinator. 

Mike is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and the Northern Section California American Planning Association (APA), having made speaking appearances at international, national, statewide and local planning and stormwater conferences and training workshops during his career, which includes eleven years with the San Jose Planning Department.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Planning and Interpretation from Humboldt State University (Cal Poly Humboldt), and has been a resident of District 10 since 1972. Outside of work, his interests include outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking, golf, and spending time with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys participating in volunteer activities with the South Bay Clean Creeks Coalition, Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority, and League to Save Lake Tahoe.
