  5. When I HotSync my Palm device, it shows "Synchronizing {flight schedule application}", but it never finishes. What's wrong?
This is probably due to the schedules file being corrupted during download. To fix this problem, bring up the Palm Install Tool by clicking (usually) Start/Programs/Palm Desktop/Install Tool. Remove the two {flight schedule application} files (xxx.prc and xxx.pdb) from the list. Close the Install Tool and HotSync again.

  6. I've installed the Palm version but I can't find the application. Where is it?
The application has been installed under the "Unfiled" category and can be accessed by selecting "All" or "Unfiled" from the category drop-down on the home page.

  7. I downloaded new schedules, but I still get a message that my schedules are old. What's wrong?
Sometimes a browser holds a copy of the older file. If this occurs, clear the browser's temporary internet files (under "tools" and then "options") and repeat the download.

  8. While updating the E-Timetables on my Pocket PC I received a "File in Use:" message. The file "/Windows/MSCEGrid.dll" is in use or is in ROM…What do I do?
The most likely reason you received this message is that the E-Timetables program is currently running on your device. (Under certain circumstances, the file name may be different.) The easiest way to fix this problem is to reset the device immediately prior to installing the application.

  9. I've downloaded and installed the Pocket PC version to my handheld device. I can look up flights, but when I try to add it to my calendar, it doesn't work. What's wrong?
The Pocket PC 2002 operating system has an error so that the interface between the application and the Pocket Outlook Calendar does not work. Download and install any service packs or firmware updates offered by the vendor. Compaq's web page is www.compaq.com/support/files/index.html. After accessing this page, click on IPAQ handhelds. From this page select the "Product", "Model" and operating system of his device, then click "Locate Software." Under "management and system software" choose "IPAQ Pocket PC 2002 End User Update." In some cases there may be prerequisites, which should be spelled out on the screen where you actually do the download. HP's web page is www.welcome.hp.com/country/us/eng/software_drivers.htm. After accessing this page, enter your device name and model number (for example: Jornada 568) and click the submit button. Choose Pocket PC 2002 from the list and look for "MS Pocket PC 2002 EUU2 Update". In some cases it may be necessary to install a firmware update first. Casio's web page is www.casio.com/support/index.cfm?page=/support/Software/cassSoftware.html. After accessing this page, choose the Pocket PC 2002 Update File for the E-200 device.

  10. I've downloaded and installed the Pocket PC version to my handheld device, but when I tap on the icon I get a message like - "There is no application associated with 'xxxet.' Run the application first, then open this file from within the application." What's wrong?
The problem is caused by a bug in the Microsoft uninstaller. Most likely you previously installed and later uninstalled an application developed with Microsoft Visual Basic on your Pocket PC. When that application was uninstalled, some registry entries that are necessary to run Visual Basic applications were lost. Since the {flight schedule application} was developed with Visual Basic, those registry entries are required. To fix the problem, please go to this web site: www.nca-corp.com and download and install the utility VBRegFix. Once you have downloaded the file, unzip it and read the instructions in the readme file, which should be placed in C:\VBRegFix on your desktop computer. After you have installed and run the utility, the {flight schedule application} should function correctly.
