Authorized Signatory Resources

Authorized Signatory Information

Being an Authorized Signatory is a privilege which comes with great responsibility. Acting as a liaison to the Airport, Authorized Signatories are responsible for all badges and persons sponsored or escorted by their company/agency and are subject to annual training.

The primary role of an Authorized Signatory is to understand, comply and enforce all SJC badging and security policies and ensure that their sponsored badge holders do the same.

Adding a name to the Authorized Signatory list requires a letter of introduction on company letterhead signed by a current Authorized Signatory. Each tenant must limit the number of their Authorized Signatories to those who have an operational need to be a signatory. Best practices recommend that there is a minimum of two signatories for each company. Only SIDA badged employees may be an Authorized Signatory

Below are some checklists and resources to assist Authorized Signatories with a smooth and efficient badging experience. It is important to understand and comply with Airport Badging Office policy before sending an applicant to an appointment. Failure to properly prepare your applicant can result in badging delays and/or penalties.
