Horizon Air Expands San José Air Service with New Daily Nonstop Service to Sacramento
Service to connect Silicon Valley businesses to California state capitol


SAN JOSE, CA
-- Horizon Air plans to start new daily nonstop service between San José and Sacramento (SMF) beginning August 25, 2008, providing easy access to California’s state capitol.

The carrier is offering one daily nonstop flight, giving San José business and leisure travelers convenient access to the state capitol, nearby University of California, Davis and Gold-Rush era attractions, fascinating museums, historic Old Town Sacramento and world-famous music festivals.

Horizon’s new schedule between San José and Sacramento, effective August 25:

San José (SJC) to Sacramento (SMF)
Depart – Arrive
9:30 a.m. – 10:10 a.m.

Sacramento (SMF) to San José (SJC)
Depart – Arrive
5:05 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

The new Horizon flight will be operated on a Q-400 high-speed turboprop aircraft, with capacity for 76 passengers. The Q400 is one of the most technologically advanced regional aircraft in the world and is also the most environmentally friendly aircraft in its class, burning 30 percent less fuel and producing 30 percent less carbon emissions than a comparable jet.
